About This Service

AfterHours Ally (“the Service,” “we,” “us”) is a browser-based after-hours triage and escalation platform for independently operated veterinary clinics. The Service enables clinic owners to configure species- and symptom-specific protocols that guide pet owners through structured triage questions after clinic hours, helping determine whether a situation warrants an emergency visit, an on-call DVM page, or supportive home care until the next available appointment.

The Service is operated by CitéBundle, Inc. and made available to subscribing veterinary practices and, through their branded portals, to the clients of those practices.

2.

Medical Disclaimer — Read Carefully

Emergency notice

IF YOUR PET IS UNCONSCIOUS, NOT BREATHING, SEIZING, OR OTHERWISE IN IMMEDIATE DANGER — DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. GO TO THE NEAREST EMERGENCY ANIMAL HOSPITAL IMMEDIATELY OR CALL AN EMERGENCY VETERINARY HELPLINE.

AfterHours Ally does not provide veterinary medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. All triage guidance produced by the Service is for informational and decision-support purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional veterinary care.

The triage protocols are configured by your clinic and reviewed by licensed veterinarians. The urgency classification produced at the end of a triage session is a suggested next step, not a definitive medical determination. Urgency is determined by a deterministic rules engine — not by an AI model — and may not account for all factors relevant to your pet’s specific situation.

Always defer to the professional judgment of a licensed veterinarian. If at any point during a triage session you believe your pet’s situation is worsening or life-threatening, stop the session and proceed immediately to emergency care.

3.

AI and Automated Triage Limitations

Certain components of the Service use large language models (LLMs) to assist with symptom classification and domain routing. AI-generated content within this Service is labeled as an “AI-Assisted Suggestion” and must never be interpreted as a directive, diagnosis, or substitute for veterinary judgment.

AI models can produce incorrect, incomplete, or misleading output. The Service is designed so that AI output is used only to assist — not replace — the deterministic triage engine configured by your clinic. Protocol weights, urgency thresholds, and red-flag logic are never exposed to AI models and cannot be altered by them.

You acknowledge that automated triage systems have inherent limitations and agree not to rely solely on the output of this Service in making veterinary care decisions.

4.

Who May Use This Service

Pet owner access to the triage flow is provided through a clinic-specific branded portal. You must be a client of, or intending to seek services from, the clinic whose portal you are accessing. By using the Service, you represent that you are 18 years of age or older, or have the consent of a parent or guardian.

Clinic administrator access to the dashboard and management tools requires a valid subscription and is limited to credentialed clinic staff.

5.

Clinic Owner Responsibilities

Subscribing clinics are responsible for: (a) ensuring protocols and urgency thresholds are reviewed and approved by a licensed veterinarian before activation; (b) maintaining accurate on-call rosters and ER partner listings; (c) ensuring that A2P/TCPA-compliant consent language is configured and displayed to pet owners before any triage session; (d) reviewing interaction logs periodically to identify protocol gaps; and (e) ensuring their use of the Service complies with applicable veterinary practice regulations in their jurisdiction.

Clinics may not configure protocols that misrepresent the nature of the Service as providing veterinary medical advice, diagnoses, or treatment.

6.

Data Collection and Consent

The Service collects the minimum information necessary to provide triage guidance: species, age group, selected symptoms, owner contact details (if voluntarily provided for follow-up), and consent records. All data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Pet owners must explicitly acknowledge the triage disclaimer at the start of each session. Consent to receive triage guidance and any optional communication channels (SMS, email) is recorded with a timestamp, IP hash, and user agent for regulatory compliance. Interaction data is retained for 90 days by default.

7.

Prohibited Uses

You may not use this Service to: (a) seek triage for a veterinary emergency — go directly to an emergency hospital; (b) attempt to access or query clinic data you are not authorized to access; (c) submit false or misleading symptom information; (d) reverse engineer, scrape, or automate interactions with the Service; or (e) use the Service in violation of any applicable law or regulation.

8.

Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” WE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CITÉBUNDLE, INC. AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO HARM TO ANIMALS RESULTING FROM RELIANCE ON TRIAGE GUIDANCE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

9.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CitéBundle, Inc. and its affiliates from any claims, damages, and expenses (including attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

10.

Modifications

We may update these Terms at any time. We will indicate the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes affecting clinic owners will be communicated via email to the registered clinic contact.
